Sleep. A conversation with myself

I have always been a firm believer of naps.

Except when the nap basically means I then can’t sleep at night. Bummer.

I used to spend a lot of time mulling over problems in my head. Worrying. Wondering how I was going to solve them. Aside from nightmares, I sleep much better now.

That is aside from the occasional alarm living with my husband!

Each night before I go to sleep I make a list of things I am grateful for. My sponsor has asked me to go to five now, so here they are for today.

1- A sober day

2- My family, especially for the fun we had making (in their words) poop shaped merengues!

3- The bedroom curtains look awesome, my days of accidentally flashing the neighbours are finished.

4- My kitten is a sweet little purr ball on my feet

5- My husband finally got his hair cut! Hurray!

Anyway. I’m going to try and sleep now so I am not a grumpy eat bag tomorrow. Good night.
